What You Need To Know About Funeral Costs
by bamby willcock - Thursday, 24 January 2008, 08:36 PM

By Morgan Hamilton It is undoubtedly true that when someone passes away it is a hard time for their loved ones. When preparing someone's funeral you should take into consideration the funeral costs and the many things that must be calculated into them. There is one requirement according to which the funeral homes are obliged to provide you with a detailed amount for the cost of the funeral. Unless funeral costs are taken care of they can lead to serious financial difficulties. The financial situation of the deceased might not be good; so many years may pass until the bills for the funeral are paid off. All the funeral costs are given to the surviving family and relatives. Many people have life insurance which covers funeral costs. The administration costs of a funeral cover the embalming, the staff needed for the funeral and the facilities used such as chapel, preparation room and reception room. Another thing that should be thought about is transportation. The coffin should be moved from the chapel to service area and the transport should be previously arranged. Generally a limousine is used for the immediate family of the deceased but cars could also be rented for the other family members and the close friends of the departed. What is really expensive in a funeral is the coffin and a temporary grave marker. These are the merchandise costs that should be considered, as well. It is true that you can save some money by purchasing cheaper markers and coffins, however most families feel obliged to honor the deceased with the very best that can be offered. There are other aspects which should be accounted; these are the cash disbursements; some money should be set aside for flowers. Apart from flowers, you might buy a cemetery plot which should be added to the funeral costs. Printing materials could also add up to the costs as you will need obituaries, invitations, announcements and a death certificate. However, the main cost of cash disbursements comes from the headstone of the grave. Its price varies a lot and you can buy a cheap or a very expensive one depending on your finances. Other things which might be easily forgotten but should also be added to the funeral costs are guest books, honorariums and the price of food for the wake. When arranging a funeral most funeral homes will explain you all the different funeral costs and will leave you choose the best options for you. Then they will make all the arrangements needed for the funeral. The funeral costs are different in the different funeral homes but they all include the many costs we mentioned above. This information might be helpful to you in case you have to arrange a funeral. After all, the funeral should run smooth and you have to pay the funeral costs but you should watch out that you are not financially burdened with unforeseen costs. Lose Weight Permanently - #1- Exercise

By Eric Hartwell Losing weight is not something that will just happen. You have to MAKE it happen. You may not like the thought of exercise it may even scare you to death. But it has to be done if you are to be successful. Following certain rules will help. Now, record what you eat. Exercise - Exercise is the one absolute that is required for permanent weight loss. If you do not exercise then you will not be able to lose weight permanently. It is a fact. Also, not exercising makes you lazy and builds in an aura of negative expectation. An exercise program of five 30-minute sessions per week should be employed into your schedule. This can also be achieved by exercising for 10 minutes, three times a day. That is not much and most of us can afford the time to do this. If you cannot find the time then this is simply an excuse. Yes, of course there will be days when you just cannot make it. But on most, yes most, days, you will be just fine if you put your mind to it. This strategy is good for people with busy schedules, time consuming jobs and families to balance. It is also good for people that like to make excuses. Taking three 10 minute breaks is something all of us can achieve. Walking, taking classes at a gym, joining a sports league or even 10 minutes of sit-ups and push-ups in your office are beneficial. Exercise becomes, like water, essential and necessary to the psyche and body once you begin a regimented program. Having Fun with Wedding Crashers
by bamby willcock - Tuesday, 22 January 2008, 06:46 PM

By Morten Flatner A wedding is a special time that means a lot to the bride and groom. It is also a time when there is a lot of different planning to be done and there should be no room for any mistakes to be made. A lot goes into every detail, however one detail may be forgotten and that is the problem of wedding crashers. A wedding crasher can be an unexpected wedding guest that no one really knows. This is a person that is looking for some fun and would like to do so at your wedding. They will usually be nice people that mean no harm and are just looking for a good time. When this is the case, you can have a lot of fun too. There are certain people that are called wedding crashers and they are not so nice. They are the people that you want to keep out of your wedding because they are looking to wreck your special day and make it a nightmare. These people need to be watched for so that they can be kept out and kept silent. The bad wedding crashers can be anyone from an old boyfriend to a crazy family member that wants to ruin the wedding all together. These are the ones to watch out for because they can turn a beautiful day into a complete disaster. Getting married is stressful enough without having to worry about who wants to make it a bad memory instead of a good one. You may also get the wedding crasher that wants to steal your money and other gifts. If you see someone that is out of place, keep an eye on him or her to make sure that they are not there to steal from you. This would be a terrible way to start your new life together. Wedding crasher that is fun can be a real enjoyment. These are the people that will sing, dance, and be the life of the party. They will be the ones out there on the dance floor living it up and getting the rest of the wedding guest excited too. These types of people will be a dream to your wedding and if they are not hurting anyone, let them alone. Chances are they are just out for a good time and there is no real harm in that. Getting a wedding crasher at your wedding is not that likely. They are in fact very rare and if you do have one attending, chances are they will be the good kind. The one thing that you should do is keeping an eye out for anyone that looks different. If they stand out in the crowd or bring a lot of attention to themselves, this could be a hint. In Case of Emergency - Your Cell Phone Could Save Your Life

By Michael L. McBee There is a new acronym running around and it is ICE. No, not that frozen water you put in your favorite beverage. ICE stands for "In Case of Emergency". What if.... You are in a car accident rendered unconscious? You're at the mall or work and become incapacitated? You are on a business trip and something happens? What happens normally (we hope), the police are summoned or fire department, an ambulance comes and takes you to the hospital. How is the staff to know your medical history? Are you allergic to any drugs? Do you have a history of heart disease? Do you have a living will that the medical staff needs to know about? Do you have a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate order)? Does you're young child know whom to call? What if you're Cell Phone, yes that little sometimes annoying thing that in a pinch could save your life, yes, save your life? The idea is that you store the word "ICE" in your mobile phone address book, and enter the number of the person you would want contacted "In Case of Emergency". In an emergency situation, ambulance, police and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin is, your emergency contact, and be able to call them quickly and get the information they may need to keep you alive. You could have multiple ICE numbers in your cell phone so if one does not answer emergency personnel have another contact, for instance, ICE, ICE1, ICE2 and so on. One could be your spouse, your best friend, and your parents, whom ever know enough about you to be of assistance to YOU. It's as simple as that, take the time to go and program ICE in your cell phone today, those 3 letters in your cell phone just may save your life one day! The Psychology of Weight Loss
by bamby willcock - Saturday, 19 January 2008, 03:52 AM
Anyone in the world
By Steven M Hall You see the razor-thin models gracing the covers of magazinesyou watch actors and actresses on the big screen who seem to never gain a pound. And you wonder: How do I differ from them? You may be surprised to learn that a number of famous people at one time had difficulty maintaining a healthy weight. But they were able to conquer their problem, thanks to a new-and-improved, healthy view of eating. You may not realize it, but there is a certain psychology at work in successful weight loss. It is no surprise, then, that the magazine Psychology Today has explored the issue in-depth. In October of 2004, the magazine posted an article on its website detailing the experiences of Diane Berry, a nurse practitioner who studied women who had shed at least 15 pounds and had maintained their weight loss for an average of seven years. The women shared some important things in common. For instance, they all achieved their weight loss through either Weight Watchers or TOPS, which meant that they had a firm support network as they tried to maintain their weight. The group meetings were highly important, because they learned to recognize that they were certainly not alone in their struggles with weight. The women were also quite unusual because up to 90 percent of individuals who have lost weight end up putting it back on within five years. Another common trait of these women is that they appeared to undergo a profound mood shift as they made the transition from fat to thin. From all indications, they appeared to be depressed when they were heavy but, as they attempted to lose weight, their mood brightened. For these women, healthy eating became a habita habit they refused to break. They themselves recognized the tremendous role that psychology plays in weight loss. They refused to give in to negative feelings of frustration and denial and chose a positive path instead. The women also made it a point to weigh themselves regularly so that they could chart their progress. And they recognized that maintaining weight loss would be a lifetime struggle. They knew that they could not attempt a weight loss program then put it back on the shelf. They had to learn new eating patterns that they could continue week in and week out. In some cases, they likened their struggle to that of an alcoholic. In other words, they recognized the gravity of their problem and took steps to correct the situation. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of these womens experiences was the fact that their weight loss actually came in spurts. At times, they regained their weight, but they did not let that deter them from their final goal. They simply viewed their setbacks as challenges that they needed to overcome. This may be the key psychological trait that separates successful dieters from unsuccessful onesperseverance. In essence, these women were able to change their personalities in a positive way in order to achieve their long-term weight loss goals. Another interesting aspect of this study was that it showed that the women who had undergone weight loss transformation were genuinely happy. This shows the tremendous psychological impact that weight loss can have on an individual. Once an individual is free from the burden of extra weight, he or she is better able to meet the challenges of life head-on. The dieter benefits from positive reinforcement, as relatives, friends, and co-workers congratulate him or her for the weight loss. In this way, losing weight can be quite a life-affirming experience and can lead to a more optimistic outlook on life. It must be noted here that the psychology of weight loss is a complicated matter. There is no single ingredient that can turn a fat person into a thin one. However, recognizing that there is a psychological component to successful weight loss may, in fact, be half the battle. Once an individual recognizes that he or she is engaged in a psychological fight, he or she is better able to do battle. By retraining oneself to seek healthy approaches to diet, one can, in effect, mold oneself into a new individualone that no longer lives to eat, but simply eats to live. The Nature And Importance Of Cash
by bamby willcock - Wednesday, 16 January 2008, 12:13 AM
Anyone in the world
By Michael Russell It is the beginning and the end of the accounting business cycle (cash-inventory-sales-cash) and the lifeblood of the business organism. It is the function of management to ensure that sufficient cash is available to meet the needs of the enterprise. A sound cash flow is the basis for a financially healthy enterprise. Nearly all the transactions that are recorded involve a flow of cash either to the enterprise (a receipt) or from the enterprise (a payment). The cash flow generated by some transactions is not immediate, but will take place at a later stage, for example stock bought on credit. Cash may be defined as any legal medium of exchange that is immediately negotiable and free of restrictions. It includes coins, notes, cheques, postal orders, savings deposits and bank deposits. An essential requirement is that it must be immediately available as legal tender; therefore, loans to employees, postage stamps and fixed period deposits cannot be regarded as 'cash' for accounting balance sheet purposes since they are subject to conversion before they are available as cash. Because cash is the most liquid asset, it is the most easily misused. Therefore, every enterprise must have an effective internal accounting control system for cash. In smaller enterprises, the owner or manager usually exercises personal control over all cash transactions. In larger enterprises, however, it is impossible for one person to exercise individual control; therefore, the accounting system of the enterprise must be designed to include adequate control measures over cash flow. The design of this accounting system should include control totals at various points against which the accuracy of a series of items can be tested. A sound cash accounting control system should meet the following requirements: Employee' duties and functions must be separated to ensure that those persons who receive, pay out or handle cash in any way are not involved in the recording function. This prevents a person from misappropriating funds and concealing the fact by forging entries in the accounting books. The functions of the employees must be divided in such a way that, an error by one employee will be revealed by another employee. This means that the collusion of a least two employees is necessary if funds are to be embezzled. Cash receipts must be recorded in such a way that the actual cash received can be checked against an independent daily record. Therefore, a source document must be prepared as soon as cash is received. The source document should show the amount, the date of receipt, the reason for the receipt and, where applicable, the person who made the payment. Examples of this type of accounting source document are receipts, cash sales slips, invoices and control and audit rolls used in cash registers. All cash received must be banked daily and no payments should be made from the receipts. This ensures that cash is safe overnight and bank deposit slips serve as a control total for cash received. All payments except petty cash payments must be made by cheque. Cheques must be countersigned and supported by a properly controlled and authorised source document that serves as proof of payment. The functions of the employees handling cheques must be separated from those of the employees recording the transactions. By Teow Aun Chew In the last 5,000 years there are a total of 64 generations of patriarchs in three different periods known as the Green, Red and White periods. The first 18 generations of patriarchs was from China, then the next 28 generations of patriarchs from India and the last 18 generations of patriarchs again from China making it a total of 64 generations of patriarchs. The patriarchs were firstly 13 generations of holy emperors started off by Emperor Fu Shi, then 5 generations of scholars with Lao Tze (the founder of Taoism) as the first scholar, followed by 28 generations of Indian Buddhist monks in India, 5 generations of Chinese monks in China and lastly lay people from China. This is a mystical revelation by Heaven to inform us the lineage of Tao that had to be prepared over a period of 5,000 years before the coming of the Final Catastrophe that will end the world. The Green Period - The Buddha in charge of this period is Dipankara Buddha and it started around 3100 BC to 1214 BC and lasted for about 1,886 years. This period has 11 patriarchs from the first patriarch Emperor Fu Shi. This period is symbolized by the Green Lotus Leaf. The Red Period - The Buddha in charge of this period is Sakyamuni Buddha and started around 1190 BC to 1924 AD and lasted for about 3,114 years. This period has 51 generations of patriarchs from patriarch Giang Tai Gong (12th) to patriarch Liu Hwapu (62nd). This period is symbolized by the Red Lotus Flower. The White Period - The Buddha in charge of this period is Maitreya Buddha and it started around 1883 AD and will last for 10,800 years until 12683 AD. This period has only two generations of patriarchs, Lutsu Chung Yi (63rd), the reincarnation of Maitreya Buddha and Dignitary Master Chang Tienzen and Sun Shuzen (both 64th). The two 64th patriarchs are the reincarnation of JiGong and Bodhisattva Yueh Hui respectively. This period is symbolized by the White Lotus Root. The Lineage of Tao told by JiGong is as follows: The early 18 generations of patriarchs from China are 1]Emperor Fu Shi 2]Emperor Sunlung 3]Emperor Huang 4]Emperor Souhou 5]Emperor Tsuanshi 6]Emperor Ku 7]Emperor Yow 8]Emperor Shun 9]Emperor Yu 10]Emperor Yeeyin 11]King Tong 12]Giang Tai Gong 13]King Wen, King Wu & Chou Kung 14]Lao Tze 15]Confucius 16]Yienwhie & Tsentzu 17]Tsuseu and 18]Mencius. New and Unusual Basil Herbs for 2007

By Barbara Adams Basil's long, intriguing history is steeped in legend and folklore. Experts disagree on its origin, but many feel it evolved in Asia and Africa. Its thought that Alexander the Great brought it to ancient Greece around 356-323 B.C.E. From there, it may have made its way to England from India in the mid 1500s and came to the New World in the early 1600s. Grown in medieval gardens, many classic herbals have mentioned it over the years. Basil can make a wonderful specialty herb garden or home business cash crop for teas, local gourmet restaurants, making and selling a homemade pasta sauce, or sold fresh to other "foodie" customers. Basil is a member of the large mint family. Its botanically name is Ocimum basilicum. It was used as an embalming and preserving herb, and was found in ancient Egyptian mummies. Its embalming usage may be why it was also a symbol of mourning in Greece. There, it was called basilikon phuton, which means royal or kingly herb. There are more than 150 known varieties. These include: Lime-flavored basil from Thailand Red Temple Holy Basil from India Greek Columnar Basil that grows as a true perennial in many locations Magic Mountain Basil with extra lovely purple flowers Green Pepper Basil discovered in Mexico with a pronounced green pepper aroma Basil Ararat, rarely seen heirloom Clove Basil with an obvious clove aroma Sacred Basil, also with a clove scent Mrs. Burns Lemon Basil, a delicious heirloom from New Mexico Greek Basil, grows in gardens or containers to form an almost perfect compact ball Lettuce Leaved Green Basil with larger leaves and very good basil flavor Napoletano Bolloso Basil, has very, very large leaves with just a hint of anise flavor Sweet Dani Lemon Basil with very strong lemon fragrance Mexican Cinnamon Spice Basil with a special, spicy aroma Genovese Basil, large leaves and with a flavor many prefer over any other Barbara Adams Author: Micro Eco-Farming: Prospering from Backyard to Small Acreage in Partnership with the Earth (New World Publishing): Center for the Micro Eco-Farming Movement: http://www.MicroEcoFarming.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Barbara_Adams http://EzineArticles.com/?New-and-Unusual-Basil-Herbs-for-2007&id=393512 fast shipping xanax valium cheap prescription xanax without prescription mexican pharmacy valium xanax valium buy xanax online delivered overnight
