Organizing Family Discoveries
by minette prada - Tuesday, 18 December 2007, 04:40 AM

By William Teleo It's great when the family gets together, but you know that it'll be much greater if all family members can get to know each other and share the family history. Much interest had been given to genealogic researches in the past years, but still, the most common form of genealogic research remains to be the family tree and its branching out. A family tree is a cinch to make if you intend to include only members of your immediate family (parents, sibling, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins) but what if you aim to include the three generations before you? Or what if you intend to find out who your ancestors are? This entails a much larger scope and therefore a more thorough research. This also means more extensive notes, files, pictures, interview transcripts, and other documents. To save you from disorganization and make your research easier, Carolyn Billingsley and Desmond Allen have devised an efficient filing system specifically for genealogic research. The materials they prescribed are easy enough to procure such as a filing cabinet (boxes will do), data records, pens with black ink, file folders, notebook (loose leaf), and notebook dividers. They recommend that you start by making nuclear family records. Printed forms are available to make it easier. Record information by family. Separate your own family record from that of your parents. Use marriages as guide, as each marriage requires a separate data sheet. Fill out forms backward, starting from the present and to the past. Make all information on each family uniform, leave spaces for unknown data and fill them out later when you got the missing links. It is also important to indicate sources of the information. Include birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage certificates with the members' personal information but remember to use only photocopied records. Label sheets with family surnames and put them in file folders duly labeled. Collect and store these nuclear family sheets to larger family groups. To do these use bigger filing folders. Label these folders by the family patriarch's name, for example, your grandfather's name. Include in this folder all files of your uncles, aunts, parent, married siblings, married cousins, etc. An optional step is to add a contents page to give you a clue about what is inside the folders. These will make it easier for you to fill out your family tree and its branches. An organized research will save you the trouble of diving into heaps of paper searching for documents that you think are there but have no idea where to find. How To Move Past The Pain Of A Break-Up And Chose Better Next Time
by minette prada - Monday, 17 December 2007, 01:58 AM
Anyone in the world
By Christine Akiteng When people come to me to work on breaking their pattern of bad relationships they are usually still angry and resentful towards the person they just broke up with and they have so many not-so-nice things to say about the other jerks, losers and bitches who broke their hearts. Many of them dont like it when I tell them You are not a victim, you were a willing participant". You see, in negative bonding patterns there are no victims since everyone is playing their well rehashed role. Each partner seeks out the other to engage in this dance of self-destruction. Its like your radar goes.whhhhzzz..zap! This is the one. Part of breaking free of this pattern is seeing the people you attract for who they really are and embracing (not forgiving which indicates something being right or wrong) their role in drawing you to the opportunity to learn what you need/needed to learn. When you can move away from blaming (which is just another way of you distracting yourself from what you are really feeling deep inside - lonely, insecure, unaccepted, unappreciated etc), and gain deeper insights to how you chose the people who bring more of what you don't want into your life, you are more able to choose better next time round. Here is a good exercise to help you shift from blaming and anger to insight and embracing. Ask yourself these questions and answer them with an open mind. Its only by being honest with yourself that you can get to the truth. 1. What is the lesson I need to learn regarding this person/experience? 2. Why have I attracted this person/situation into my life? 3. What is the role they are playing/played to fulfill their own part in the negative bonding contract? 4. What is the aspect of myself that this person is reflecting back to me (this can be showing you something about you that you deny / or don't realize youre doing, validating a belief or self fulfilling prophecy you have or showing you a quality you have to develop)? 5. What is the gift this person(s) is giving me by playing his/her role (the gift is the lesson(s) learned)? 6. Can I accept the role and actions the other person has played in helping me to learn this lesson? How do I do that or how am I doing that? 7. Can I allow myself to let go of any anger towards the other person playing the role that has helped me learn this lesson? How do I do that or how am I doing that? Keep in mind that "allowing" has nothing to do with reaching out, advising or helping him/her. This is about allowing the other person follow their chosen path and discover on their own the consequences of their choices. Go over your answers with a very close confidant. It helps (it's necessary) to talk to another person with more objective input. However, chose your confidants carefully, the other person's own "issues" may interfere with the whole process. He/she may start injecting his/her own pain from his/her own experiences into the situation instead of helping you through yours. Whatever you do, dont remain locked in blaming and feeling like a victim. The endless thoughts that you spin around your pain and hurt, and the energy you pour into complaining and other misdirected activities dulls your awareness of your own choices, robbing you of opportunities to gain deeper insight and choose better partners. Stained Teeth and Teeth Gap

By S. Wilson There are two simple ways that you can improve your smile without going to the dentist. If you have stained teeth you can use over the counter whitening systems to bleach your teeth white. The second way to improve your smile is close the gap between your teeth. You can close your gap using Teeth Effect Bands which pull your teeth together. There are a number of things that can cause the light yellow stain that covers your teeth. You can be more sensitive to staining, depending on the strength of your teeth and the enamel which is the covering over the teeth. Staining can be caused by things that you eat and drink like coffee, or tea products, soda and some heavily dyed foods like juices. Smoking can also cause stains on your teeth. It stains them with tar and also causes decay. Plaque is also naturally developed on your teeth. Plaque is bacteria that is constantly forming on teeth. Plaque is not removed by brushing alone. It can harden to form tartar also called calculus. Only a dentist can remove this tartar. You may want to seek other options if your teeth are already stained and whitening toothpaste isnt helping. You can have a dentist bleach your teeth. Having a Dentist bleach your teeth can be very expensive. There are also some new whitening systems that you can buy over the counter and use at home Another common problem is gap between your teeth. You could get braces to close your gap but it is very expensive. Fortunately, there is an alternative to close your gap called Teeth Effects from the company Teeth Gap. The bands wrap around the two teeth with a gap between them and slowly draw the teeth together. They are easy to use and you will start to notice results in only a few days. You should take care of your teeth now. They will stick with you for many years to come! Please visit http://www.teethgap.com to close your gap simply by wearing a band around your teeth. 2007 Carbon Nano Cell Phones Coming Soon
by minette prada - Friday, 14 December 2007, 09:34 PM

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Lance_Winslow]Lance Winslow The modern day cell phone is certainly becoming a tricky little gadget, as most are not just a cell phone anymore. These new techno-devices now have email, digital cameras, text messaging capability, video games and even MP3 players or iPods as part of their many built-in options. It is truly amazing the feature rich advances in personal cell phone technologies. So the question is with all these abilities, what is going to come next? Well soon cell phones will have a carbon nano-tube coating which will act as the cell phones plastic casing and this casing will be 50 times stronger than steel and have many additional capabilities. Such as being able to change color to match or contrast your clothing, which ever you wish? Your cell phone will still have all the then-current features only now it will become part of your clothing as well. Additionally the future cell phone will interact with you without a key pad, using voice technologies and it will also be able to interpret your conversation to or from any known human language. Some believe that your cell phone may even be able to call your dog and translate dog language into human language, so you can call up and say; Hey there, Sox, how are you doing today? Good! When are you coming home to feed me? The future of cell phone technology is alive and well these days and with each year engineers, physicists and entrepreneurs are getting together to make the technology more user friendly and robust. The future is upon us and so I ask; Can You Hear Me Now? Ruff! I certainly hope this article will help propel thought and is of interest in 2007. Anxiety And Depression
by minette prada - Thursday, 13 December 2007, 08:32 PM
Anyone in the world
By Jim Brackin With a number of effective, low-cost solutions available for issues like anxiety, depression, insomnia, phobia and stress, why do they still affect so many people? Anxiety combined with depression is the most common form of mental health problem. Research by the Mental Health Foundation suggests that one in four of the adult population of the UK will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of the next year. The National Office of Statistics show that 7.7% of the population suffer from the combined effects of depression and anxiety at any one time. Additionally 3.1% suffer from anxiety and 2.1% from depression. Thats a total nearing 14%. Not surprising then that Richard Layard, chair of the Mental Health Policy Group reports that Crippling depression and chronic anxiety are the biggest causes of misery in Britain today. They are the great submerged problems, which shame keeps out of sight. The total cost of depression was estimated at 3 billion per year costing the NHS 420 million whilst only 2% of NHS expenditure was spent on tacking these problems. The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) believe that people with anxiety and depression should be offered the choice of psychological therapy. This view is also backed by Richard Layard because in a study conducted by the Mental Health Foundation it was demonstrated that therapy is, in the short term, at least as effective as drugs and, in the long term, better at preventing relapse. No surprise then that the NICE guidelines recommend that everyone should have the therapy option made available. But thats simply not an option for those that need it most, as there are simply too few therapists available. Those people choosing the therapist option would have to wait at least nine months or more before getting an appointment. So if they want to avoid taking prescribed medicines, their options are limited to either private treatment which can be very expensive or remote therapy from an online therapy site. Perhaps this is why there has been a dramatic rise in the private or self-help alternatives available. The last couple of years have seen a dramatic growth of remote therapy sites providing for psychological issues ranging from anxiety, depression, insomnia, phobia and stress. Try it for yourself, just google psychotherapy, online, self help, UK and youll find sites like virtual-therapist.com which have become very popular in the last few years. Produced by recognised therapists, the sessions are recorded onto mp3 of pdf format and can be downloaded for immediate private use. Although not having the benefit of face-to-face interaction with a therapist, they do have the advantage of being able to be used over and over again whenever needed. For example, imagine a nervous person having the benefit an Anxiety Therapy that has been downloaded onto their mp3 player thats instantly available for whenever an anxious moment surfaces. And its not just about convenience these therapies are available for a fraction of the typical 750 fee charged for a course of treatment by a private behavioural therapist. Other reasons why these remote therapies may have become increasingly mainstream is that they are anonymous, instantly available and surprisingly effective. Whatever the reason there is no denying that they very popular. Over the last year many of the self-help therapy sites have reported a 300% increase in download traffic. Its clear that self help therapy is fulfilling a need because even by NICEs own estimates it would take at least seven years to train all of the 10,000 therapists needed to fulfil the current demand. It seems that for many that suffer with issues like anxiety or depression, this wait is just too long. Jim Brackin contributes tips, help and advice on behaviour and psychology to variety of magazines like Cosmopolitan, Real and Women's Own. He is the body language expert for Sky News (UK) and created Personaliteye.com which provides free online psychometric tests and personality profiling. What is Invoice Factoring and Invoice Discounting?
by minette prada - Wednesday, 12 December 2007, 08:57 PM
Anyone in the world
By Henry Byers The Romans were the first civilization to sell promissory notes at a discount, beginning the industry of factoring. America was built largely on the possibilities of factoring, when colonial businesses were factored by Europeans willing to invest cash in exchange for the promise of large returns, and government bonds also use the same principles applied by businesses when they engage in invoice factoring. Invoice factoring is, at its simplest, the sale of the right to collect cash owed on your outstanding invoices. Most businesses engage in invoice factoring when they need cash up front quickly, or when they have customers that are slow to pay and don't have the resources to build an accounts collections department. Though some companies are large and established enough to get accounts receivable financing through a regular bank, it can be handy to have access to invoice factoring companies as well. Most businesses use invoice factoring to get fast cash. In the intense and fast paced business environment of today, ready cash can be invaluable. With the sale of your invoice futures, you can get the cash today you need to capture customers that will move your business forward. Invoice factoring is not a loan; rather, it's an outright sale of an asset. Another way of looking at it is as a cash advance: you give up a certain portion of the money you expect to receive in the future in exchange for ready cash today. While some businesses purchase invoices outright, others give you a down payment toward the invoice, paying you the balance less their fee when they receive payment from the customer. One of the best things about invoice factoring is that your credit has no bearing on whether you are approved; instead, your customer's credit qualifies the invoice for factoring. Many different industries take advantage of invoice factoring, including: Transportation Manufacturers Distributors Wholesalers Staffing and consulting firms Telecommunications companies Service providers Because ready cash is so important in their business, industries that are heavily vested in human services and need to be able to meet payroll are among the best able to leverage invoice factoring. However, any business that generates at least ten thousand dollars in accounts receivable should be able to use invoice factoring, provided they've acquired creditworthy customers. Other situations that might make invoice factoring a wise choice for you include: A young company with creditworthy customers, but not sufficient credit history for your own business to be considered creditworthy by banks A company with the necessity of taking advantage of new, time-limited sales and profit opportunities, but inadequate cash flow currently to do so Companies with income, credit, or tax problems Companies that have filed for bankruptcy, but that stand to turn a profit Companies that are growing too rapidly for ready capital to keep up with business needs Companies poised to grow very soon but do not want to incur debt Companies that are growing rapidly, but do not have good enough credit to take out bank loans. Start-up companies with no capital base currently Companies with seasonal sales patterns or uneven sales patterns Henry Byers, Invoice Factoring advisor - focusing on Accounts Receivable Factoring and Factoring Financial Services Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Henry_Byers http://EzineArticles.com/?What-is-Invoice-Factoring-and-Invoice-Discounting?&id=141317 phentermine to order discount phentermine without prescription phentermine no prescription mastercard phentermine no prescription required

But before one quickly jumps to the conclusion that an American education is for him or her, one must take into consideration several things : 1. What type of of institution does he or she want to enroll in? Will the institution be a university or a college? Target Marketing - What Are You Aiming For?
by minette prada - Tuesday, 11 December 2007, 01:00 AM
Anyone in the world
By Greg Roworth Is Advertising Viable? At the turn of the 20th century, department store magnate J.C. Penney acknowledged, Fifty percent of my advertising doesnt work. When questioned why he continued to do it all, he replied, Because I dont know which half isnt working. Over the course of the last century, most traditional advertisers accepted this situation as a reality that had to be put up with. The result has been that many organisations now develop marketing strategies based on the objective of branding, with the hope that brand recognition will attract customers. Today it is only really viable for large organisations with huge advertising budgets to use this style of marketing, which is dependent of two factors; frequency and reach. Both these factors are directly proportional to the amount of money you spend. The more money you pour in, the greater you can extend your frequency and reach. Unfortunately for smaller businesses, the cost required to develop the level of frequency and reach to make an impact on the market are almost prohibitive. Communicating With Our Market Our success in marketing comes down to the quality of our communication with our customers. There are three elements of our communication that we need to address; our message, the media we use and the market we serve. Gary Halbert, a well known direct marketing copywriter, likes to ask his students what advantage they think would help them sell the most hamburgers. He typically receives answers such as better grade of beef, better sauce, better location, lower price, and other similar suggestions. After the students finish he will say that he will allow the students to have all those advantages if they will allow him only one, and that if they allow him that advantage, he will win hands down. What is the advantage Gary Halbert wants? To have a starving crowd. How simple yet insightful. The most significant factor in marketing success is to find a market that is starving and desperate to have your product. The first question you need to ask is; who are the people that desperately want my product and how do I find them? Then you need to ask; how do I get my message through to them? Getting Attention In his book, Permission Marketing, Seth Godin claims that, on average, we are subjected to around 3,000 marketing messages each day. The message we need to understand from this situation, as marketers, is that it is becoming far more difficult to get our message through to our market, because the clutter of marketing messages makes it almost impossible to attract attention. We are now so adept at screening out advertising and marketing messages that it takes something significant to get through the filters. One lesson we can learn about what gets through is the way we tend to deal with SPAM, the irritating unsolicited email ads that somehow still seem to get through the filters we have established. When dealing with spam, most of us tend to click delete almost automatically when we dont recognise the sender of the email. We do this even when the subject line sounds interesting or enticing. We have learnt to turn off to interesting headlines and to be sceptical of promises that sound almost too good to be true. We have become hardened by repeated disappointment in the past. Our experience with email has taught us to be efficiently ruthless with communication that we dont deem necessary or is not from friends or colleagues. We just delete anything we dont care about without even reading it or without even glancing at what it is about. The messages that do get through are the ones that come from a trusted source. This habit is an indicator to us as marketers of how to get our messages through to our market and presents a real dilemma for small and medium size businesses in developing effective marketing strategies. The key is to work more on developing a trust relationship with your customer rather than developing an approach that resembles spamming. Aim For The Target With the effectiveness of mass marketing methods having deteriorated over the years to the point of relative ineffectiveness that they have now reached, the most important strategy for us in marketing has become identifying and targeting our starving crowd. Marketing now needs to be up close and personal to be effective. It doesnt matter how good our message is and what media we use, if we are not directing our communication to someone who is desperately hungry for our product we stand little chance of success. Even if they are starving but dont know us, the level of scepticism is such that they still may not trust us enough to buy our product, even if it is by far the best solution to their desperate need. What we need to do is identify specifically who are the members of our starving crowd and then woo them sensitively and relentlessly to gain their trust. Once we have their trust, we must continue to woo them to establish and deepen a relationship that makes them feel like they are important to us and that we are intent on looking after their needs as fully as possible. Can you describe your ideal customer? To effectively target your customers you need to be able to describe the ideal customer in intimate detail. What is their average age, sex, income, job type, etc? Are they single or in a committed relationship? Where do they live? How many children do they have? What type of car do they drive? What are their hobbies or sporting interests? What do they read or watch on TV? What are their favourite movies? How often do they use your product? How often do they buy it and in what quantities? If they are businesses; what industries are they in, how many employees do they have, are they stable or fast growing? These factors are known as demographics and psychographics. To more effectively communicate with your target market, you need to know the physical and geographic elements that describe your ideal customer, what makes them tick and why they like your product. Get Personal If You Want Results Rather than spending a lot of money in mass market advertising, in which we try to sell our product to everyone, we would be much better off by first spending some money trying to identify who are the likely people in our market to buy our products and then target those people with more intense efforts to develop a relationship, build trust and persuade them to buy. I can do a better job of delivering a higher quality message to a select, targeted group that fits the profile of my starving crowd because I can focus most of my resources on that smaller group. Mass marketing is very wasteful and inefficient. If I try to sell to everyone in the market, I will deplete my resources very quickly. We can no longer appeal to the masses; our marketing message needs to personally address the needs of our ideal customer and we need to communicate that message on a one to one basis. By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ruth_Stanhop]Ruth Stanhop Personal loans are one of the best ways to raise money for personal gratification. Financial needs always arise in one way or the other for people in meeting their needs and wants. If your earnings are not enough to fulfil your financial demands then, you can look for personal loans. Dont compromise with your desires. Borrowing money is not something scary. People take loans to gratify their needs as well as demands. You can avail personal loans in two ways i.e., through secured or unsecured ways. Secured personal loans are especially designed for homeowners. It means that to avail such loans, you need to pledge your property as collateral. In presence of collateral, lenders offer loans at low rate of interest and with a longer repayment period. On the other hand if you are a tenant, a non homeowner or a homeowner, you can look for unsecured personal loans. Such loans do not ask for collateral. But, in absence of collateral, lenders ask for a comparatively high rate of interest and they offer a very short repayment period. One of the big advantages that borrowers get for unsecured personal loans over secured loans is that, in case of missed repayments, lenders may repossess their property. Though such situations seldom exist but still there are risks associated with secured loans. Personal loans are called [http://www.chance4finance.co.uk/personal-loans.html]multipurpose loans. Dating in the New Millennium: A Guide to Technology and Dating in 2006
by minette prada - Saturday, 8 December 2007, 11:36 PM
Anyone in the world
By Danielle Peck Well, adult dating has certainly entered the new millennium. Whether its services like Dating on Demand, soon to be launched by Comcast Cable, Match.com or a chat room, lonely lookers are no longer limited to barroom banter while searching for their soul mate. If alcohol is your forte, grapedates.com can match you up with another wine enthusiast to smell the bouquet with video chats, video emails, and video blogs. Heck, you can even send video flirts to someones cell phone! Those daters looking for a little something extra (or married dating) even have websites like AshleyMadison.com, which boasts When Monogamy Becomes Monotony and For Women Seeking Romantic Affairs-and the men who want to fulfill them, to fill those few remaining waking hours. On the flipside, SoulMatch.com and Christiansigles.com offer Christian dating, Mixedrace.com and Saltandpeppersingles.com offer interracial dating, and Gaymatchmaker.com and Bgay.com offer dating for same sex relationships. Dating services have come a long way since the early 90s, and it seems as if the skys the limit. There are some free online dating websites out there, but most charge a fee if you want to have any kind of contact with other members. In fact, online dating accounted for more revenue on the internet in 2004-over $450 million in revenue-than any other form of pay for entertainment web services, excluding internet porn and internet gambling (Thompson, Technology Review, 108:8, 2004). Hmm, just where is all of this online dating headed? In the future, will we simply wear our dating glasses (fashionable dating glasses, of course)-conveniently linked to our online dating profile-that tell us whose profile fits our own as we walk the beaches, malls, and clubs? The bigger question is, what do we truly want in a mate, and can someone know this when they are filling out an online dating service profile? I think technology has the potential to cut out diversity in relationships, and that could have some pretty serious consequences to the gene pool. Sure, there are some basic human nature issues that should be the same in any relationship (like social versus antisocial, religious versus atheist), but I would hate to live with someone just like myself. Maybe a better profile would simply ask everything you know you cannot stand about other people or activities, and leave the rest of life negotiable. Whether you are looking for teen dating or senior dating, you should always be open for new experiences and different avenues of thought. Thank goodness, we dont all think, look, and act the samehow boring would that be? Leave your life open for some adventure and diverse thought and then fill out that dating ad. Another issue that technology dating will have to address for individuals like myself is that of smell and hygiene. Am I just weird, or does this play a role for most people? If a person does not smell good or brush their teeth a few times a day, I could care less whether or not they like to walk the beach or candle lit dinners. I know this may be shallow, but could I have a smell-o-phone please? The point is that as of 2005, dating and technology have yet to address all of the senses that face to face dating addresses, but who knows what the future may hold. Maybe one day we will enter our DNA readout into the singles dating profile and this will match us with our perfect mate. That could be an interesting prospect, especially if this perfect mate doesnt encompass the characteristics our socialization tells us to look for. Sodaters start your enginesor ready those computers, cell phones, and ipods because the future of dating will definitely encompass technology. I have just a few dating tips or dating advice to remember. Be Cautious about personal information (I cannot stress this enough). Use good judgment and listen to your instincts (if something isnt right in Denmarkend it now). Take your time getting to know this person-dont accelerate the process because you are lonely. If you decide to meet, make sure it is in public-preferably in familiar surroundings with friends around for backup (Listen to your friends impression of the person as well, because sometimes they will notice things you miss). Most of all, do not sell yourself short for the need for companionship-a good dog is better than a bad relationship!
